Application Requirements

To be considered for the NVPS Scholarship Fund, graduating seniors are required to:

• Be a 2023 graduate from one of the 80 New Visions network high schools

• Complete on-line application (open from 11/1/22 - 1/4/23) that includes:

  • Listing courses that show academic rigor (College Now, Advanced Placement and/or school’s most rigorous courses)

  • Complete an essay question (up to 750 words) and two short answer questions (up to 250 words)

  • List two recommenders to complete recommendation application

  • Provide supporting documents such as transcripts from high school and College Now and AP scores

Process Timeline

November 2022 - January 2023

• Application open for graduating seniors (11/1/22 - 1/4/23)

• Recommenders portal open (11/1/22 - 1/17/23)

  • Two letters of recommendation are required with at least one from a school staff member

January - March 2023

Exact dates to be announced

• Round 1: Reading of applications

• Round 2: Semi-finalist invited for interviews with NVPS

• Round 3: Finalist invited for interviews with NVPS Board

April 2023

• Winners announced
