Become a Student Leader!
This year, NV SAN will be virtual with the group meeting weekly starting in February - June 2022 (excluding mid-winter and spring breaks).
This is a great leadership opportunity for students to positively impact and inform the work of New Visions on a school and systemic level. Students will work collaboratively with their peers and NV staff members to develop resources and tools that can be used to enhance school communities. This year, the program will follow a virtual model with the exception of 2-3 winter/spring events which will be in-person.
The NV SAN deadline for SY21-22 is November 15, 2021 by 11:59pm. If you have immediate questions about the NV SAN application and selection process, please contact Jackie McKinney at email@example.com.
The New Visions Student Advisory Network is an opportunity to meet other students and develop leadership skills. "Being a part of NVSAN has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it at this age. Discussing all of the prominent issues going on within our education system as a result of the huge division between decision makers and the students is something that has really ignited a passion within me and I want to act as best as I can to empower other students to have a chance to have a seat at the table. "
